Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS A BACCALAUREATE CELEBRATION?
This event is a time of blessing for graduating students. It reflects God’s impact in their lives up to this point and is an opportunity to ask for His guidance for their future.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?
This ceremony will include a formal sit-down dinner, a gratitude tribute from students to parents, followed by a Baccalaureate Invocation, Candle-lighting Ceremony, Presentation of Blessing Bibles and Bookmarks, and a Blessing of Graduates. There will also be special music and an opportunity for various worship traditions from the families.
WHO CAN ATTEND THIS EVENT?
The ceremony is non-denominational and everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you are schooled in a public or private setting or homeschooled or may be graduating from college. Graduates, family members, and guests are all invited.
Those who are wanting a personal time of acknowledgement of what God has done in their lives will find this to be an uplifting and inspiring evening.
Also note: You will not be receiving a diploma from Quest and we do not do transcripts.
INTERESTED IN SPONSORING A GRADUATE?
We want this ceremony to be a blessing not a burden to the graduates and their families, so we are asking outside sponsors to donate $110 per graduate to help cover the cost of the ceremony, the venue, and the gifts presented to the graduates.
The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), a program of Society for Science & the Public (SSP), is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition.
Approximately 1,700 high school students from over 75 countries, regions, and territories are awarded the opportunity to showcase their independent research and compete for approximately $4 million in prizes.
Today, millions of students worldwide compete each year in local and school-sponsored science fairs; the winners of these events go on to participate in SSP-affiliated regional and state fairs from which the best win the opportunity to attend Intel ISEF.
Intel ISEF unites these top young scientific minds, showcasing their talents on an international stage, where doctoral level scientists review and judge their work.
