Hello Students,

I apologize for this being so late in the week. To make up for it, I have reduced the number of homework problems due next Monday:

1.4 (EHW): #s 2, 4, 6, 12, 18, 22

1.5 (OHW): #s 1, 11, 15, 17, 19

As mentioned on Monday, we are going to spend a bit more time on Sec 1.5. It'd be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the chapter before class next week.

See you Monday.

Week of October 3rd

Hello students,

Here is your homework for this week:

Sec. 1.3 (EHW) 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 32

Sec 1.4 (OHW) 1, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 25

Note: I haven't assigned any problems from 26-41 since we haven't covered this part yet.

Remember that the EHW counts more than the OHW!

Hello class,

I am sorry for not posting this earlier. Here is your homework for this week:

-Sec 1.2 (EHW) #s 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 14, 16, 18, 24, 28, 30, 34, 36, 40, 44, 46, 52

Note: a lot of these problems are similar to the ones we did in class; a couple may require you to stretch your thinking.

-Sec. 1.3 (OHW) #s 1, 3, 5, 11, 13, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31

Note: Remember that is homework is graded by completion only. Be prepared to bring any questions you have to next week's class. As you're working on the homework, remember the resources I gave you; also, there are plenty more online! There are lots of avenues for help if you look for them.

See you next class! We'll be reviewing and answering questions to 1.3 and starting 1.4.

Here are your assignments due next class (9/26):

Section 1.1 Even #s 2, 6, 8, 10, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24, 28, 30, 32, 34, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 52, 56, 60, 64, 66, 68, 72, 74

Section 1.2 Odd #s 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 21, 25, 27, 29, 33, 37, 39, 43, 45, 47, 49, 53

Remember that if you're still working on the odd-numbered homework after 2 hours, stop where you are and bring any remaining questions to class.

Also, I didn't get to talk about the other handout I gave to you today. It is a list of of resources for additional pre-calc explanations and practice, and algebra views. It's also attached here for online access.
